Whosdady,

I did see Kevin's post. I hope I don't have to buy a new tranny, but I guess if I do it his extra will be a good choice.

That is interesting. I have always thought my tranny did not shift right. When I am at WOT I and in manual mode, I have to shift at about 6200 rpms or I will hit the 6800 rpm rev limiter before it shifts. Do you think this issue has anything to do with a shift bearing?

Hi Houston G35.

My friend has a G35 also, about the shifting at 6200 rpms I'm not pretty sure, but when he fisrt took me for a ride in the car. I noticed that the shifting delayed a little. If the Infinity dealer installed the SC they should cover the tranny warranty,

Good Luck with everything
Josh

You should have no issues having your tranny replaced. My tranny was replaced after my TT install. It sounds like that Infinity Dealer you are talking about in DFW is pretty cool....so I wouldn't even sweat it.

If I lived in Dallas and was able to take it to Grubbs Infiniti, then I would not be concerned at all about being hassled.

Unfortunately, I live in Houston and had to take the coupe to the dealership I purchased it from. So far they have been cool about it. They said they would call me today and discuss their findings. I am hoping I won't have to battle with them.

ALL IS WELL.

Infiniti SouthWest called and said I could pick up the coupe today. They said my transmission hose was pinched. They suspect this happened during the SC install. I find this hard to believe since the SC was installed amost 2 months ago and 3K miles. My guess is the Houston heat and the added heat from the SC caused the hose to fail.

Anyone know if the tranny fluid hose travels near the SC.

Anyway, the siad it was not a huge deal and since the SC was installed by an Infiniti dealer they would cover it under warrenty.

All in all I am satisfied. They detailed the car, changed the oil, replaced the hose and tranny fluid, gave me a loaner and it was all free.

Default Fluid loss

Just a thought , when you hit that road debri you may have simply broke a cooler fluid line etc. Hopefully thats all it is.
The belly pan does little to protect the tranny lines etc., it doesn't go that far back.

This is probably where the 350Z and G35 differ the most, the quality of theservice and dealership.

Default quality of service

Nah there are plenty of Infiniti dealers that suck too.
