Default Vortech in Progress....

I started my Vortech install Wednesday night at 10pm. So far the install has gone ok, donated some blood and spewed a few f-bombs...
I think Vortech's instructions could be better and have better pictures. The tips that I got from Timrod 1011 were VERY helpful... thanks Tim.
No part of the install is easy, everything is so tight . Everything must be aligned perfectly, I spent an hour and half the intake downtube.
Hopefully I will have the intercooler and Fuel lines done tonight and be able to drive it Saturday night.
I went with the Zeitronix A/F with boost and EGT sensors, and Im going to mount the display in the Nav cubby.

Thanks to everyone on this board that has taken the time to post pictures of their install, they helped a lot.

Very nice install! I also went with the Zeitronix unit mounted on CF plate. Mount it low and the NAV door will close. I used 3M tape so I could move it until in the right location. I also have the Kinetix Plenum V3. Technosquare did the "L" Flash. Speed Dreams here in Albuquerque used the Split Second R4 program while dynoing. They still want to make some more A/F and other adjustments. I am at 5000 feet elevation, but still went from 234 rwhp with Borla Exhaust and V1 Plenum to 338 rwhp with SC, V3 Plenum and R/T Cats.

Are you worried about all the problems others have have had with the Kinetix plenum. Do you plan to make make any more FI increases in the future. Do you have any concerns about your plenum?

Aren’t they on like version 12 of the Kinetix plenum. What gives with this product? Personally I would sell it and get a Crawford. No offense

No concerns at all with V1 or V3! Had one of the first V1's. Still have it. Kinetix moved me up to V3 knowing I was going FI. They are currently at V4. Customer service is excellent and with each change the plenum gets better.

That’s good to hear especially for those who have purchased it.

Is there any gains by getting a plenum on an Z with FI? I was told by a tuner that has done a few that there wasn't any significat difference in horse power with it.

Dynoed after adding plenum and saw a gain of 4-6 rwhp. Added SC and 236 rwhp went to 338 rwhp. Some more fuel adjustment and might see 350.

I am finished.. Everything went well.. sans a minor oil leak from not having the fitting tight enough. I still need to mount my gauge display and I am waiting for my resonated tests pipes to arrive so I can mount my A/F sensor.
Plan on tuning it in a week or so.
