MIAPLAYA, do you know if turbonetics has any plan on making a more durable and freeflowing exhaust manifolds as an option for this kit? the only thing that worries me on this kit is using the stock manifolds I think over time they will begin to crack

They do not that I am aware of. However in speaking with Brad and Jahme they spoke with the engineers at Nissan for the VQ35 in the Z and accodring to the data they have available they should not have a problem. The stock manifolds are made of double wall 409 steel. From what Brad got from the engineers at Nissan they should hold up just fine. The turbo is VERY well supported and Turbonetics has added further bracing along the exhaust piping route to ensure good support. Furthermore with the turbo as far downstream of the manifolds as it is the thermal loads as a result of turbo backpressure should not be as great as they would in a typical turbo on manifold style system.

Yes Turbonetics has said that as long as the headers have the outlet flange in the stock location you can use an aftermarket header.

No they have not tested the Borlas. I guess you could go off of the steel rating used. The stockers are 409 double wall steel. What are the Borlas. I dont think it would be possible to test EVERY header on this so this would probably be the only way.

You might want to try and call Turbonetics direct. I know of the Cali places that are authorized but I havent lived in Fl for so long that I wouldnt begin to know who sells their stuff anymore.

I think final price is going to be about 5400 or so from Turbonetics. The vendor price should be less. I know Group 5 is. Enginuity is as well. Stillen, SP Engineering, Vishnu, Summit, Those are the ones I know of.

So is this kit officially released to the public? No one has given a Yes or No yet. Also, MIAPLAYA, do you have any or know of any direct links to this kit at a vendors website? I looked @ Stillen's, SP Engineering and Summits website and they didnt show anything on the kit as of yet.

Thanks.

The turbo is a ceramic ball bearing unit. As for the release I believe they are doing pre-orders. I just got a PM from Street Image saying they will be selling the kit. You may try to contact them. I think Hopup Racing is also going to be selling it as well.

I just called Hopup Racing and inquired about this kit and they said that they SHOULD have some info on their website later this week or early next week.

Yeah i think all the vendors are just now getting the final info on it. It was just officially released last week and with that being SEMA I'm sure its hard to get everything locked down right now.
