MIAPLAYA:

You must be really happy. I dont think there is anyone reading these post that does not know how much you like the kit. In fact, it amazes me how you respond to every thing regarding it on this forum.

Are you going with a totally stock install?

Jeff

Well I plan to run it as is for at least a year to a year and a half. Then I'm looking to build the motor and up the boost...Currently thinking in the neighborhood of 15-20 PSI all said and done. Buts thats WAY down the line. For now I want to run it as is..I want to get some track events in with the kit and get a real feel for how the Z performs. Next up is a Nismo LSD, a soon to be released front BBK, clutch, flywheel, and some form of coilovers..Hopefully Apexi N1s

I would be stoked too if I was you. All of these Turbo kits are fast. For those of you that have never been in one, dont do it unless you are willing to fork out the money for one because once you have been in one, you will never feel the same about your NA Z again.

Now that I have driven a Greddy and APS, I am hoping you give me a ride in yours to get an impression....

Yeah I know... but it looks like I have to hold off for a little bit for the stroker kit because it looks as its going to clear over $20,000-$25,000 for the turbo and built motor.
Anyone want to buy a 2003 black & red limited edition yamaha r1 or a 2004 lamborghini orange yamaha r1 (motorcycles) .

I wish I could afford one. You may want to contact protocav or Brimst0ne... They were both talking about bikes a week ago.

MIAPLAYA,

Quick question as far as install goes the kit should take about 10 hrs or so right? i called up a shop in los angeles and they told me that the kit would take 25 hrs because of intercooler. Now i dont know if they are feeding me a bunch of crap but it sure sounds like it.

yeah, call and different shop. No way a 10 hour install is going to bump to 25 hours because of the intercooler. That should be the easiest part of the install on a well designed kit. Someone was looking for $$$ or had no idea what they were talking about.

Sounds to me that they were confusing this with the install of a TT. That is ok, you can just get confused too and pay them in pesos.

Exactly...I could see the first install taking maybe 15 hours TOPS..But that would be a result of a rather untalented tech. It should take no more then 10 hours. 12 MAX and that taking several breaks.

Whats crazy is that the shop is very well known(City of Industry area). Their cars have been in magazines. I know they know what they are doing. I dont mind paying a little extra for a good install but when they try to cheat someone they are lucky I dont put them on blast!

Maybe they misunderstood what the kit entailed. Was your quote for just the kit or was there more like gauges, etc.

They gave me price for kit and they also gave me price for just install . when Ii asked him why the intercooler took so long put on he told me that the bumper and something else had to be removed and that is labor intensive. I'm new to this so I really didnt question anymore. But i sure can tell when someone is bsing me....
