Turbonetics Single Turbo Kit..Pics/Videos
A couple of issues to think about:
-Warranty of the turbo system itself and all it's components.
Turbonetics warrants all thier products for a period of one year unlimited milage under our no fault no hassle warranty policy. This means if one of our products fail for any reason in the first year of ownership we will repair or replace it at no cost. and yes we have had people suck in rags, rocks and even fingers for which we have covered under warranty. it's all manufactured in our Simi Valley, California plant. if there is anybody out there that wants to visit our facility our doors are open, simply give us a call and arrange a tour.
-The end cost of a system installed and ready to drive
if you were to pay MSRP for the complete system including ceramic ball bearing turbocharger, intercooler, by-pass valve, injectors and ECU flash you will fork out $5,595.00 and if you pay a shop 10 hours labor at $60./hr you wind up with a system completly installed and driving for $6,195.00.
The drivability is there, the power is there, you can open you hood and see it there, you are covered by the only one year no fault/no hassle warranty program in the industry.

I think I like the idea of a $6200 installed Turbo kit over a $6200 installed SC kit.
Not Chump change but still...

SC vs Turbo for the about same money
As some of you know, I started rolling into a SC package.
There is clearly a huge difference between ANY SC approach Vs. T/TT approach.
For about the same money, you defintely want a single turbo VS SC.
I can't see there be any benefit from SC over TURBO except the availability for more power/sooner/lower with a specific configuration.
This can be achieved with a single turbo, not as well as a twin turbo, however you get more, and can do more with a turbo solution over SC any day for less money.
I know that SC can do more power than "out of the box" but it does NOT offer the range/options that turbos do.

And I am sure there are going to be a few bumps in the road along the way, hopefully all minor.
Since they don't have the '04 ECU cracked then it looks like I may not be getting this kit anytime soon. I will have an '05 ECU and it has taken atleast a whole production year to crack the '04 and I heard the '05 is even worse.
They are using my car to make the flash for 04 but it has been cracked for a while. Tadashi was unable to get to it as soon due to some health problems that he is recovering from.
