Default SLIP light coming on

I am not sure if this is related to the TT or just a coincidence. It happened one day while on I95 just accelarating in traffic and really didn't pay much attention to it, but the other night while running an SRT4 I was around 90 in 4th gear when I hit it and when I was passing past 5kRPM the SLIP light came on and killed the car for a second.

I searched but didn't find this, also it doesn't happend during accelerating from stop except when shifting which I expected if I do not turn off TCS but surprised to have it happen at high speed and already well after intial accel.

This had not happened before the TT so I am assuming it is related, I have slightly different tire sizes than stock but close and like I said it had not happened before. Any ideas or comments?

By the way even with the engine getting killed I still killed the SRT4 but I was surprised at how quick it still was, but it was in Miami so who knows what they may have done to ti.

I had a similar issue, check engine light came on- it came up P2135... check out that thread

not sure the fancy way to link you to it...type in on search

"service engine soon code P2135"

I wrote:
If anyone knows what this code is, please let me know... I was exiting the freeway today, driving normal, as I cam to a turn and began to accelerate in second gear, i had no power, the car was not responding, the service engine soon light came on.... i coasted, turned the key to off position and started the car back and everything was fine....

i went and checked out the code and it came up: P2135... some sort of drive train code... is this just a glitch in the matrix???

Had it cleared, been driving since then, no problems...

communication error w/ e-manage and ECU??

any feedback???
THANKS

No problem, thanks for trying. The engine light doesn't come on just the SLIP light for the TCS system.

Guys..LOL...your cars are fine. Especially with the TT, under acceleration at high speeds, and slight dip or bump in the road will cause the TCS light to come on, and kill the throttle. The system is doing its job..but it feels aweful becuase you are under boost. In a straight line race, I ALWAYS disengage the traction control to avoid situations like that. :

I would agree with you but it happens every time.

Last night again, I was playing with a G35 (hot Chick, her boyfriend in passenger wasn't happy) but it happened again.

Now if the TT is not the culprit since it happens way after the TT kicks in I am wondering if it is the tires due to sizes or maybe the sensor on the right front wheel is not quite right, the wheel hub was replaced as the sensor ring was damaged during an accident about 4 months ago.

mine slips all the time when I get on it
Just alot more power, causing the tires to spin

don't belive me ? have someone follow you, and watch your back tires (as you can't always hear them spin) and they will tell you you were breaking loose...

I always turn my traction control off if I am going to get on it.

You think it is often now Gus, wait till you are running 10 psi

OK, I will go with it, it is just amazing how fast this car is now it keeps surprising me.

I can't wait for the 10 PSI, I got the rails from Kenny and thanks for the help on the rest of the hardware it should all be here this week, then it is off with the plenums again, I have new gaskets this time and also might replace the knock sensor due to what I told you about it.
