Default Sts Turbo

I really hope they make one for the 350Z!!!

there are so many plus's to this that it's crazy!!

I know this maybe to radical an idea for some but trust me it works and it works very well.

Good thing that the filter is easy to get to because you're going to be changing it like you change underwear. Not to mention road debris taking out the turbo from time to time.

Interesting....

It'd be extremely easy to work on, but good luck on driving it in the rain with that filter sitting under the bumper

that is an extremely innovative idea!! if they can handle turbo lag (perhaps with the use of very small diameter intercooler piping, then it just might work.

i agree that the filter should be shielded from the environment, as well as the turbos. if the turbo is running really hot, and you get a big splash of hot water on there...you might be in trouble.

that design, from an engineering point of view

SUCKS

it will be warped from rapid temp change, blasted by debris, and you probably have to replace the filter daily

not to mention, by the time it spools at all, you will already be done with the race/getting groceries/auto-x

unless its on a 911, then the engine is like...right there

The exhaust gas leaving the engine has to travel almost the whole car length to spin the turbo and then the compressed air has to travel another car length back to the intercooler and then into the engine. I see alot of problems here.

i remember a friend talking about these being used on mustangs and stuff and that they actually worked well. i dont actually know anything about this type of turbo kit myself though.

I was always under the impression that you wanted the turbo as close as possible to the engine to take advantage of the heat to spool it. In either case, it could aid in traction issues since it won't be spooled until you're well beyond 40mph

large displacement engines dont need the spoolup like smaller ones do.

but either way, that **** is wack.

its interesting how people say it works "great"

without comparison to a convential turbo in the engine bay system... all i would think you can really say is "it works".

people are to quick to say it works "Great" simply because it makes power... but IMHO "great" should be reserved for something proven efficient maybe or what not.

so the question is does it really work GREAT or does it simply just WORK?
