I know on Ford vehicles, there is a fuel cut-off button located (usually) in the trunk of most their cars. When the vehicle sustains an impact, the button pops up. To reset, just push the button and the car will start. I don't know if this is the case for the Z.

if the collision of the accident is strong enough, the clutch switch can be broken. seen it happen before, got in an accident w/ a 5sp (was rear ended) the car never started after the hit. took it to dealership they said it was a broken clutch switch in addition to the rest of the damage.

stupidity aside, what's happened happened. take it to dealership or a reputable shop have it look at. and go from there.

You sure there is nothing wrong with it but cosmetic damage? There is an evap canister back there (I can't remember which side, though) that leads to the gas tank. Just guessing, but it is worth a try.

If it were me, though, it would go straight to the dealership.

so let me be the first to say im an idoit !!!!! here'swhat the problem was. after the accident i was a little pissed off. so i got out of the car, saw the damage, and threw the keys to the ground. here's where the problem is...there a computer chip inside the key. when i threw the keys down i broke the security chip thus it wouldn't let the car start....so with that said let the bashing begin

FYI...dont break your key. $102 for a new key and $40 to program the key to your car.
