Default DIY g35 Single Turbo Kit

I was wondering would it be better to get a turbo kit for my 06 g35 coupe custom made? What parts would I need, and what is the max boost I can run on my stock block? I have a hookup for intercooler piping, downpipe, and full exhaust piping? Should I go 3in downpipe all the way to the muffler? thanks

do you have any experience with turbo set ups? if not, i think you should go with a FI kit already on the market. GReddy, Turbonetics, Stillen, etc.

Just wait for the turbonetics kit for the 06 G (that's what I am doing). They said it will be out by mid summer.

It depends on how comfortable you are with turbocharging vechicles. We will be releasing are are G35 Single turbo kit very soon. Expect 400whp on 91 octane with our basic kit.

One thing about the turbos - it's all about the tune. Also, the install is far more complicated. I went with a Greddy twin setup, but it's expensive... Having just done my '06, here's some lessons learned:

You'll need a good EMU. I went with the Turbo XS UTEC because it's essentially a parallel unit. Greddy eManage or eManage Ultimate WILL NOT WORK. HKS F-CON Pro is also a really nice setup, but it's more expensive after you add up all the sensors.

On the boost, I've heard of guys running the TN kit at 13 to 14 psi on a stock block, but I wouldn't recommend that in the long run. 7-9 is the norm for decent power gains from what I've heard. If you decide you want more power/boost, then you'll definately need to look at building your engine. The parts aren't too expensive, but the labor adds up. You can also look at buying a built VQ35DE for around $9K. Throw in the heads and it's somewhere north or $12K.

It all depends on what you're looking to do with the build. If you know how to do the install yourself, then you'll save a ton on the project...

Good luck.

Our Single turbo kit will be in the 4K range. Definitely on the affordable side that will still make 360-400whp on 91 pump.

Everything needed besides the catback. We will also probably give customers the option to run our engine management or their own like a UTEC or AEM EMS.
