Can i use stock 350Z springs on a 2006 G35 to lower it?

hey guys i have an 06 G35 coupe 6mt and i believe i read something about being able to use stock 350Z springs to lower the G35

is this true?

ummmm.....I believe that since you already have the 6MT you already have the same springs as the Z? I could be wrong, but yes watch your rates. 427's in the rear is a tight spring, most "lowering springs" for the G are a softer rate, that means your handleing will get screwed.

I got a set of '06 Z springs from a member here. The newer revised Z springs match my existing rear spring rate of 427 exactly. The Z Tein H-Techs, which I had originally got are much softer. They are 356 Ft and 375 Rr. I will not get the same drop from the Z springs, but I'll preserve my existing ride quality.

Huh? Lower springs rates = softer ride... Well, maybe the springs didn't match your shocks well... hmm... I'm gonna use Z H-techs with revised Z shocks so hopefully I won't have any problem with the ride. I would imagine not with a minor drop like that in spring rates.
