How exactly do you figure that? Every Z mod works on a G because they have the same engine, with some very minor plumbing differences. In fact, I have a JWT TT kit on my G right now, and only a small amount of parts are different for the G than the Z, and the price is the same.

Same goes for exhaust, suspension, etc... I think strut tower bars for the G are a bit harder to find. Other than that, there are slightly fewer appearance mods for the G (not as many wings or bodykits. Oh well). And almost all fo the mods for the G cost the same as the Z mods (especially since they are almost all the same...)

The differences in available mods are so small that it iisn't really a difference.

Around here it's definately noticeable.. the Z as the performance/race oriented sports 2 seater and the G as pimp/baller luxury sport coupe.

As my friend Mike (leemik on the z boards) quoted.. "My Z only gets Guys' attention!"
Although getting "girl" attention isn't really saying much. Most girls don't even know what a Z or G is and would probably mistake one for the other.

They just see the sporty look in the Zs/Gs and say "that car is so cute" ... uhhh makes me cringe when I hear "cute" and my car in the same sentence.

Yep, I agree with Dutchboy. Only clued up tomboyish girls will know the difference. If you wanna be a "Pimp Daddy" buy a Chrysler 500C and stick some crome dubs on it. If you want Luxury/Status buy a Lexus, BMW or Mercedes. Unfortunately public perception does not put Infinity or Acura in the real Luxury bracket in terms of status/badge snobbery. The G is just a tarted up Z. It's all down to which look you prefer and having looked/driven both I preferred the Z. Infact It was hard to find anything truly luxurious about the G. If I went down the Luxury route I would have bought a 3 series or Lexus IS 350.

I am Zfreak because I have owned 1 Z33, 7 Z32's, 1 Z31, and 1 72 240Z. I keep changing my mind. I have a giant-*** Z32-era tattoo, my house is covered from head to toe with Z-memorabilia(sp?) and what not. I have a TON of rare Z items, from the Motor trend 1990 car of the year award (run of 100 replicas obviously...appraised at $5500) to a lot of 5 original uncut Z32 titanium keys (not replicas), to Hasegawa models, RC cars, and so on. Basically you have NO IDEA how much of a Zfreak I am (and I own a G because it's "basically" a Z, but more practical for what I use it for). I sold my 91 TTZ in December 05, but kicking myself in the *** for doing so, and am looking for another as a "sunday driver".

If you need a back seat, then the back seat is an advantage.
If you don't need a backseat......I see no advantage over the Z whatsoever.

Not if you are 6ft or taller. Plus the ride is the same.

You must be really fukin tall cuz you need more oxygen to your brain if you think the ride is the same between a Z and a G. I have both and the G ride is like a lexus compared to the Z.

No the ride is not the same.
G feels more like a GT car while the Z is more like a sports car.
And the Z is more noisy than the G from the inside.

G is good if you want a sporty car with a back seat. Has luxurious goodies for the familial yuppie. It is a pretty sweet looking car.

Z is a sports car. It looks meaner. It is lighter with the same engine and is therefore faster. Z has the driver centered about the wheels better front to back, being a two seater and with the front and rear strut bars it has a stiffer chassis and handles like it's on rails. I'm very comfortable when I drive it. It is a bad *** car.

Of course... I'm somewhat biased. Been a Z fan since 240.

Here's one big advantage:
Put G & Z on a seasaw, G will drop to the ground first.

Both cars are sick. It really comes down to personal preference. The Z is more of a true sports car, and the G is a decently fast cruiser IMO. I don't think anyone would argue that the G is more luxrious, whereas the Z lacks some of the creature comforts you get with an Infiniti. All in all both are great cars.

for 04, the Z has more power than the G....I think that year and earlier it's only 260 or 274 for the G. That why i bought the Z. As for the women/girl preference, it really doesn't matter (excluding beaters) she not gonna go for you just because you got a nice car. She might look at you if you got nice car, but she gonna go out with you or not....it's you personality.
