Few runs with (another) modded S2000...

How much heavier is the roadster z than the hardtop? I remember reading that in the quater mile the Honda beat the Nissan by like a tenth. But over 100 mph the Nissan owned everything. I think if both drivers had similar driving abilities that it would be a hell of a race and not a walking by either cars. I would love to witness this dual.

Dang, my bad. I thought the roadster was heavier than the hard top. I work at Honda and I heard a rumor that the S2k's are getting a new engine in them. Around 20 more horsepower in the 4 cylinder. I dont know if the Litres will be up or not. I will do some researching.

I would rather have the 300zx then that.

Hey Dr. Rick,
I'm not at all into street racing, but we might need to have a friendly roll-on "contest" to see if that other S2000 driver didn't know what he was doing. My previous runs w/ 350Z's have shown them to be remarkably evenly matched, so hopefully I could do as well or better vs. your G35c.

Shoot, you would have to wait until they drastically increased the penalties for street racing! (Eff. 9/1, it's a REALLY serious offense)
I'm not into drag racing, but we may just have to go to RCR...unless we're safe in the middle of nowhere, it's prob. not worth the risk now.
BTW, sorry to hear about your grandma, and hope you and your family are doing OK.

Acually in the road and track article you will see that the s 2000 they have weighed 2810, and the ragtop Z weighed around 3400.
The Z weighs around 600lbs more! And was only 1 tenth slower.
