Newb: How do I tell if I have a rev-up motor?

on G35s, revups came on the 6mts...so since it's from a G35x, it shouldn't be a revup

You can look at the cam covers on the front of the motor as well. Non rev ups have two round cam covers, rev ups have 4 round cam covers on the front of the motor.
That would be the easiest way to tell once the motor is OUT of the car, like it sounds like it was when you bought it.
You could also look at the cam angle sensors, I believe the rev up has 4 total, 2 per side and the non rev up only has two cam angle sensors total.
