Default Hey guys got a few questions for the MASTERS

Hey guys, I have been looking around these forums for about a month or so but have not started to post until today. I have a few questions and would be more then happy if you guys could help me out with them.

I was planning on getting a g35 coupe 6 speed fully loaded with the aero package spoiler and underbody diffusers, but also wanted the chin spoiler. The only problem with that is if i want to get the chin spoiler i have to get the ugly Aero body splash guards.(anyone have pics?). I was also planning on getting some sort of forced induction but I am not sure about which way to go (stillen or other superchargers vs. greddy and other turbos) I was kind of upset when I herd that someone who had a greddy turboed engine blew up, but i kind feel as though it was not true because the post quickly went away. Anyway guys I would appreciate it u can help me out at all by helping me with some of these questions.
(* the other cars I am considering are Audi s4 and BMW M3
Thanks,
Jordan

You should be able to work with the dealer to only get the parts of the body kit package you want. Some will probably be resistent to only giving you certain pieces, but if they want the sale badly enough, they'll budge.

thanks alot man for helping me out with those questions, can someone else chime in about the forced induction question?

Question: are any dealers selling g35s with turbo/superchargers installed?

im not sure why there are alot of people blowing up their fi cars..... but kind of goes along with one of my post wondering how all these manufacturers are getting all this power without upgrading fuel injectors and remapping. I may be mistaken but the superchargers from ati only upgrade the fuel pump. I personally wouldn't go fi without making sure I have enough fuel to not go lean and detonate.

I believe that Grubbs Infiniti in DFW is selling G35 coupes with the ATI installed. Eggman, Rouxroux and Ltrrip among others have all had their sc mods done there, and all are running strong as far as the ATI is concerned.

Zimbo got the Vortech on his sedan, and Dollar99 is getting his 6mt coupe so equipped as we speak, to be done Friday.

I do not know any twin turbo cars yet, though I am sure there are at least a couple. I have seen a couple of single turbo set ups.

There are a couple of Stillen units out there too.

Jeff at Performance Nissan is getting the Dreamworks sc put on his car now. I suppose if that goes well they may get together for some dealer installed units, but you will have to check with them directly.

The G35 doesn't hold a candle to an M3 or S4. You're comparing cars in two totally different price ranges. If money was no object and I was choosing between those 3 cars, i'd go for the M3 in a heartbeat.

yea i know the m3 is almost 20K+ more in price. But being a person of young age. im thinking maby the g35 would be a better choice. A g35 might also be alot more fun to modify, because everything for a m3 cost a arm and a leg.

i just hope i can get forced induction without messing up my engine...

If you're concerned about cost, and worried about FI messing up an engine that's NA from the factory, then go with a turbo version of the Audi. Already FI, and all you have to do from there is a $500 chip and you're up a good 20HP. Mod-friendly VW / Audi dealerships aren't hard to find in any major city.

I wouldn't say the G35 is mod-friendly... the S4 definitely is! They can be made unholy fast with relatively cheap bolt-ons.

i was refering to the 2004 audi s4 which is a v8 that produces like 340hp but 0-60 in about 5.1 secs. This car is not easy to modify. However the older twin turbo s4 was Very easy to modify.
