Default What I Replaced My JWT TT G35 with

So, I had a 2005 G35 coupe, JWT twin turbo kit, and a lot more things on it, and I loved that car. Great power, great handling, I tracked it pretty regularly for a couple of years, had a blast. 2014, I deployed to Afghanistan for a year, and decided it was time to sell my baby, which I did, to a good guy, who flew out from Texas to California to buy it. Should be some links in my .sig to the cardomain page, which details almost everything I did to my G.

While overseas, I bought a car through BMW's Overseas military sales program, picked it up when I got back from AFG a week ago, and thought I would share. A 2015 BMW M4 (coupe) 425 HP, 415 ft-lbs, 0-60 in 4.1 (3.9 for the DCT, but I got the 6MT, 1/4 mile in 12ish, and handles on rails.

I loved my G35, but this M4 is a beast. Can't wait to take it out on the track.

beautiful car.. that was my second choice .. well it was my top choice, but my wife convinced me to get rid of my F-150 which i would have had to keep for winters in CT with the M4 .. raw power is amazing and the ability to upgrade..

^M4 is the old M3. BMW changed their numbering scheme to be even number coupes and odd number sedans.

Love the looks and performance of BMWS...hate the maint and upkeep

sort of. M4 is coupe and m3 is sedan. Old M3 (prior to this model year) came in both coupe or sedan.

4 years free maintenance helps with the upkeep.

Sweet car man and glad it's still offered with a true manual trans. I still don't understand what BMW is doing with their naming scheme (really, m3 should have 2 doors, m4 should have 4 doors) but I digress. Do you plan on tracking this one too?

Most likely will take it to the track, yes. That's what it's meant for

coupe cost more than the sedan so the numbering had to go 3 sedan to 4 coupe

Yeah, too bad about what happened to the Z. Ah well. No loss to you, other than emotional.

What was your numbers on the wheels with G35? Was it faster than m4 you have now?

G35 was 411 at the wheels at the last dyno I did. And heavier than the M4 as well. So, while the G35 was quite fast, and while I haven't had my M4 at the track yet, I can pretty safely say my stock M4 is faster than my modded G35.

that may be stock, but it of course depends on options, my G35 was fully loaded, 6MT, though, and after throwing the JWT TT kit on, all the piping with that, the audio upgrades I did, the extra sound deadening I put in, etc... it weighed significantly more. I think when I weighed it to run in NASA TT, it came out to 3850 with me sitting in it, and I am about 200 lbs
