Well, I had to take my I30 in for a service (well, repair actually) at the dealer and they gave me a G35 Sedan as a loaner. I gotta say I really like the thing! I can imagine the coupe is more like my Z, but I'm pretty impressed with the car even in sedan form. One thing that pisses me off though...I pulled in to get some gas, and I swear it took me like 20 minutes of searching to try and figure out where the "fuel door release" was located! Well, never found it, tried pushing on the door, no luck. So today I call the dealer and find out you have to unlock all the doors and then you can just push it open! ARRRRRRGGGGGGGG!!
I couldn't even look in the owners manual, as it didn't have one in it. Anyway, love the car, hate that I was so stupid about trying to get the friggin fuel door open!
Regards

That's just about the most stupid design I've ever heard. But, that's probably the same engineer that designed the Z's fuel hatch. You have to press the fuel door release a random number of times to open it. Worse yet, it's on the passenger side, so you can't even tell if it opened unless you walk to that side.
Also, the Z's hatch is plastic. I can't believe my $30k car has a plastic hatch...I want to steel a fuel hatch from an early 90's sentra so that I can upgrade mine. Was the G's hatch plastic?

Ya, I feel ya- the Z's door sucks too. Mine isn't even the same as the rest of the car, I guess cause it's plastic the shade of paint is a little different ! The G's hatch was metal I believe...didn't pay that much attention to it once I found out how to open, but prior as I was messing with it, it seemed pretty solid, so it must have been metal.
