Default Wierd thing happend at dealer today

i brought my 1500 mile g35 into a dealer to get the 1st service / oil change. I brought 5 bottles of mobil 1 5w-30 and told them to just charge me for labor/ filter. The guy comes to me and tells me he did it for me but next time to buy 6 bottles cause the engine needs 5 1/2 bottles. WTF??? I asked what he did then if i only had 5 he said he put the rest in with synthetic oil? i said mobil 1? he said yea.. I highly doubt that. SO NOW I NEED TO GET IT RE-DONE cause its really pissing me off knowing its messed up.. question is where in Santa Monica / Los Angeles area can i bring my car and get it serviced without any problems....

Why get it redone? Even if he did you regular oil it is not going to hurt anything.

According to the owners manual and the 6 million page service manual, you need 4 quarts if you dont change the filter and 5 quarts if you do change it. I dont know what he was thinking but if you have 5.5 quarts then you might be losing horsepower depending if your crank is submerged in oil or not.

I seriously doubt 1/2 a quart will make any difference.
Stop worrying people.

The ownoer's manual specifically states not to use anything other than the Nissan J matic... So far , I have not found any substitutes. I saw somewhere where Castrol makes a J-matic fluid that is a substitute, but after calling 5 different places I found out nobody can get it. So this must be an overseas product. Stick with the Nissan. Only problem with it is that it is $9 a quart.

Just check the dip stick. If it's reading way over the top mark just drain a little out.
