Just build the car right and you won't have to worry about much. TS did a great job running my Procharger with no FMU. All I did was put in a Walbro fuel pump, a fuel regulator with a return line, 380cc injectors, and TS took care of the rest.

Read the aftermarket parts post by mike wazowski in the beginning of the post list. There are a couple of ecu's made by a couple different companies in japan. One company off the to of my head is esprit.

I heard AEM was trying to figure out an ECU and were having problems with the drive by wire system. I have a feeling that if AEM can't figure it out (ECU specialists) that Stillen won't have a chance....

I may be wrong, that is just my oppinion.

On the other hand, I heard the Stillen was offering something very similar to the split second box seperately from thier super charger. This is most likely what they are referring to, an add on piggy back, not an actual full ECU replacement.

Rumor is that JWT will have a new ECU along with their TT kit. Supposed to be out this summer.

haha, I was told about 4 months ago that JWT was just about to crack the code to the ECUs so that they can do a TS styled reflash. I haven't heard anything about that since though... Is it an actual replacement ECU or a piggy back unit?

It sure would be nice for someone to come up with something, but in all the research I have done on this subject (I haven't looked into any of the Japan stuff) it doesn't look like anyone will have a full ECU replacement solution anytime soon. And if they do, it will be extremely expensive due to the fact that everything in our cars is controlled/monitored by the ECU.

I would love to see AEM make an ems for our cars. I have their ems in my integra. The tuning capability is amazing. I'm sure they will be able to get it perfect, it just may take a while.

I also heard rumors of HKS producing a supercharger or maybe turbo (can't remember which) for our cars that came with some type of reflash. I'm guessing if they do it then it will be sweet. The guy that told me used to tune my civic when I had it. He worked for HKS a few years back but is still friends with some of their employees. Anyone know??

HKS already released a supercharger kit for the 350z and they said the G35 kit is coming out soon. They did not do the ecu with the kit. JWT is releasing their kit in the fall and they said the ecu will be part of the kit. They claim it's mandatory to make the kit run well on our cars. I'm sure it's just a reflash and not a whole new one. JWT is known for their great work on Nissan's and the older Datsun's. If anybody is going to figure out our car, it will be them. Believe that. There kit probably won't push the most hp, but that's because they will set it to the car's limits with reliability. Anybody can turn the boost up and make high numbers but how long will the stock internals last? I am waiting for JWT's kit, and I am also interested in APS's kit.
