Grounding kits... (Which one is best)
Which grounding kit offers the best quality and performance for the G35 Coupe?
Z-Xtreme
Hyperground
Stillen
HKS
Aerospeed
I plan to purchase a kit soon and would like to know which one you guys' use.
Lastly, I keep hearing that the JWT Intake offers more HP gains over the Injen intake even though the Injen costs $100 more. Is this true?

A grounding kit isn't going to do much period; the differences between each manufacturer are insignificant. I went with Z-Xtreme (back when he was pretty much the only game in town) and my idle is smoother. I still consider my car to be stock.
On G35Driver, there is a ridiculously long (and stupid, IMO) thread concerning grounding kits. Gordgee sells "GroundingGear" which is probably a safe bet.

If the idle bothers you and/or you plan on (or have) an upgraded audio system, go for it. To me it isn't about power anyways.
Z-Enterprises seems to be the best deal .. same product as Z-Xtreme but $48 shipped. Or you could get the mylar upgraded set from Courtesy Nissan (made by Z-Enterprises -- he's actually a forum member as well)

What really cracks me up is the individuals that say they do nothing. Not sure where they got their electircal engineering degree from and how much testing they have done to make such a claim....
I was skeptical as well, but before I will bad mouth something I will do some testing first. I took a five wire ground kit I made myself and did a dyno test the same day as 8 other 350Z's. Doing a single car test is not very convincing when you factor in all the variables. Comparing against 8 other sets of dyno data did show a statistically verifiable modest gain in horsepower.
Most everyone will agree it smooths out the idle and reduces or eliminates misses. Logic will tell us that misses are lost horsepower. Does it mean you can feel the difference? No.
You can't feel the 5 HP you got from that $800 exhaust either. But it sounds so much better you think you can.
A grounding kit is one piece of the never ending possibilities for improving your car. If you like the way it looks and figure the modest expense its not a bad mod.
All IMHO of course.......
