Do you really notice a gain with an aftermarket plenum...say a kinetix?...of course i have an injen CAI and just purchased the injen ses exhaust, but im trying to find more ways to open up the engine. Anyone with a aftermarket plenum please leave fedback, and which plenum you are currently using

You should definitely read this post... Check out this thread Central FL Dyno Day Results are in. Read carefully and see what you think.

Also, if you're interested... search "Golden Gate Dyno Day" and "SoCal Dyno Day" on the same website (G35driver.com). There is more info than you can absorb in one day, for sure...

Good Luck.

I have the Crawford V5 Plenum... I notice some gain... more on rpm jumps... But I think that a reflash is needed... Because the car is running lean...

I have the Crawford V1 pleneum. As I will always say when questioned if I gained power from the mod, this is my timeless reply (it's getting old, but

From the very first trip through the gears, kissing the rev limiter each time, I know every cent I paid was well worth the money spent. I got exactly what I was promised, more power at the usual power peak and a noticeable improvement from that peak to redline, resulting is less power fall off from 5200rpms to redline. No other mod to date has brought the benefit to dollar spend ratio front and center as the pleneum mod has for me. My custom exhaust netted simular results, but cost almost 3 times as much.

I'm planning on going forced induction... for sure. So, would a crawford z or kinetix plenum be more useful on a F/I car than a N/A car? Or, would it really make that much difference where teh air is forced in there... ?

I'm pretty sure that you can't use the Kinetix for forced induction.

I got the Kinetix V4 w/ Hi-Flo CATS combo & am satisfied w/ them. Definitely felt the gain above 3K rpm. We have similar setup w/ the Injen CAI & SES exhaust. Just be prepared for a louder sounding exhaust w/ deep growl.
