you need to break in your brakes, put in 8-10 hard braking maneuvers from 50-60 mph down to 10-15 without stopping and let your brakes cool before stopping, just cruise for 15 minutes. Do it again the next day and you're brakes will be broken in and the noise will be gone.

well, the brakes are already bedded in at the factory, so there shouldn't really be a need for a break in period. i have never experienced that squeeking noise, though i only have a little over 6k on my '04. i would expect that squeeking noise to come in after the pads have worn out (the time which will vary depending on how you drive the car). i would definitely take the car into the dealer and have them check it out. see what they say.

How did you find out that the Brembo brakes on the 6MT are already "bedded in"? I remember when I took delivery of my G, there was a card signed by a guy at the factory stating the car was driven for 5 miles prior to shipment. I've always wondered if they did the leg work for me on the brakes.

they do it before the brakes are even installed on the vehicle. it's basically on a machine that has the rotor, a caliper, and brake pads. they run different "loads" until the brakes are bedded in. brake pad/rotor manufacturers do this as well (but not all).
