Its been discussed to death. You have to cut your engine mounts to use it. One guy on the board made his own out of phenolic material and lost power. Etc. Try a search.

is this an entrei manifold replacement or just a spacer? Do you have to cut the engine mounts because of clearance issues?

It looks the same as the stock lower plenum.

i don't see why you would have to cut anything, looks like a factory part to me, just ported. There is tons of metal that you can remove off of those intake runner walls. I'm actually thinking of pulling my stock one off and doing just a slight port job or extrude hone to it. Could use to be smoothed out a little bit too.

The intake mod is just the blue spacer that runs around the perimeter of the plenum. It gives you more volume in the plenum by raising the upper plenum cover up. You have to lower the engine to keep the plenum from hitting the hood. You do not get a plenum with this mod, only the spacer. It might be an interesting mod if it were about $39. But its $541 dollars! Its a solid idea, its just not worth the hassle for 5-6hp.

When this first came out it was discussed a lot. Someone did actually order it, but then it was on backorder so they changed their mind and got something else. AFAIK, I don't think anyone in the States has done this mod.

In addition to what zillinois has said, the spacer just increases the plenum's volume, it does nothing to cure the imbalance in the air that is distributed to the front vs. the rear cylinders. Actually, Crawford tried this approach prior to developing their plenum. They even tried a spacer that was lower in back that in the front, and nothing worked as well as their modified plenum.

The Esprit spacer was just an early attempt to rectify the lean condition the stock plenum provides the front cylinders. And yes, the engine mounts need to be cut in order to use it. IMHO, it was a failure.
