This will depend on what you like, listen to some sound clips and see what sounds best to you. I say get it and if it doesn't sound the way you want, send it back and get another that you thought sounded good, make sure this is going to be okay with the company you are buying from first though. Or, you could always ask some people that live near you if you can check out their exhaust one day.

 

This question will get you some very opionated/biased results. Like stated above, do a search and you can see a ton of opinions if thats what you want. Also there are links to exhaust sound clips where you can see what you like.

 

Let me make this easy for you just get what I have. Just kidding! The best sound from any cat back comes from the test pipes. If you use high flow cats you are going to loose the natural sound the cat back makes.

The Nismo and the blitz cat back sound the best with test pipes. Too quiet with high flow cats. Even an engine cat back , one of the loudest cat backs there is; is barely noticable with cats or even high flow cats.

You need a good y pipe ie. fujitsubl good set of test pipes either kinetix or la bree with resinators is the only way to go. The blitz and the nismo with test pipes is the perfect sound.

Loud but doesnt loose the natural sound of the Z. You can hear my exhaust for miles. Although inside the cab the droning is totally bareable. If I was to use lets say the engine cat back on my Z with test pipes the loudness and the droning are unbareable.

Look under exhaust clips and you will find a thread with a web sight everythingmy350z.com with the exact location and you can hear many exhausts. The nismo one doesnt sound too good on the clip but believe me it is a great sounding exhaust a little quieter than the blitz. But remember only with test pipes.

Just about all the cars in the clips have straight pipes and y pipes and some have headers. The headers really dont make the exhaust any louder just more aggressive.
