Default Brand New Plenum

I looked at the Top Secret Design for the plenum and then I contacted SSR. I talked to a rep and he said they would modify their plenum ($995, but significant discount if 25 ppl sign up for a group buy). Anyways, the design is to take the plenum and turn it so that the air feeds directly from outside into the plenum, no pipe bringing it around. Under the hood is the hood scoop, the air will go directly straight into the plenum. I need to know how many ppl may be interested in this so I can give him some sort of count. I realize that this is a lot of money and there is no proven horsepower, but I am pretty sure as well as the serv tech this will bring a lot of top end power.

Try to stay open minded and note this is a fully custom Aluminum TIG welded piece.

Sooner or later I might add a new plenum design . Crawford is what I have now . There is another one coming out shortly to , from Kenetix...it looks to have longer runners than this one and its split to feed air to both sides seperately

yea but this one has individual intake runners which should distribute air more evenly.

The url that you attached says nothing about the gains? What can be expected with this setup?

I would'nt mess with that intake. I talked to someone at SGP about it because they have it on one of there customers G35 TT, and they said that they did not see any gains from it.

really, that sux, i just wanted to test it out. but the thing is that this time air is being forced straight into the engine where as b4 it had to go all the way around.

and did u know kinetix is as well, the new one that splits the air into two sides to feed air into those runners seperatley. Theres obviously something to do with even distributions of air. This is a custom piece and replaces the whole plenum, not just the upper half. This means that each individual runner gets its own air. The air is also forced directly in meaning its the most air u can get w/out f/i.

The APS...I believe is just the upper half...just like the Crawfors and Kenitix . The new Kenitix LOOKS like it may flow more evenly . [ no numbers yet ] So I'll keep waiting
