Default adding exhaust / intake

I'm thinking of adding an Ingen Exhaust and a JWT Pop Charger. Now the pop charger is easy to me, but i'm not so familiar with exhausts. are there any important things i need to know?
Have yall been happy with the Ingen Exhaust?
What are test pipes? I found Helix test pipes, but that's not an exahust, right? You would have to add the end to it, right?

test pipes replace your stock cats.

you can also buy high flow cats instead of test pipes, its a personal preference.

In our Zs, the most popular setup goes:
headers > test pipes/high flow cats > catback exhaust

in your case:
stock headers > helix test pipes > Injen catback

No catback exhausts replace the stock cats though. So if you want to change the entire exhaust system, you will have to buy some form of test pipe/high flow cat to replace the stock cats.

or i could go... Stock headers / Stock cats / Ingen Exhaust (without the helix pipes)

So if i got the test pipes, then I would have to add an exhaust to the back of that?

Header, test pipes/high flow cats and cat back exhaust can all be done as individual modifications.

You can install test pipes/cats with the factory exhaust.

The Injen is an excellent exhaust. We have them in stock if you are interested. We also have Kinetix test pipes/high flow cats,
DC Sports Headers and Borla Headers in stock.

I'm gonna scrap the test pipe idea (for now) and probably go with the pop charger and ingen exhaust. so when that (the exhaust) comes shipped, I take it to a shop and have them install it? or is it bolt on and can be done myself?

To see what is involved to install the exhaust go to our website
www.gridesinc.com and click on showroom.

You should be able to make a decision if you want to do the install yourself or take it to a shop from the info and pics posted there. If you need more info let me know.

Yeah it's not for everyone.

If you do not have a shop that you already work with, any Midas or Monroe Muffler type shop should be able to give you a decent deal on the install.
