Is this new engine sound normal?
Ever since i self-installed my test pipes, i have been hearing a sound somewhat similar to a brief nitrous purge sound from the engine compartment whenever i decelerate to low rpms. Is this normal?
hey there.
it is completely normal (although it sucks) with test pipes, or high flow cats. sometimes an aftermarket exhaust helps, but test pipes make that sound the worst. i get the sound as the rpm's are coming down through about the 2K range.

.i actually don't mind the sound, knowing now that nothing is wrong or disconnected.
