Not really the stock cats are pretty high flowing. Test pipes would be better and more than 50% less money. If you live in a emissions town (CA) than you would have no choice but to go with high flow cats, but then why for like 5 hp?

If you are worried about raspiness then go with the test pipes with resonators. The cheapies on ebay are awesome.

The money is better invested in a Y pipe. I wouldn't get high flo cats unless I went turbo.

and Be safe comming home!

High flow cats aren't worth it. Spend that money on test pipes instead. The only way they would be worth it is if you're goin FI in cali or somewhere with low emissions.

I don't think they are worth it.

And if you're going F/I and don't have to worry about emission testing, you are just robbing HP by using a high-flow cat instead of a test pipe.

This is going to be a daily driver and I heard you get really bad gas fumes in your car with test pipes, I dont know if I could live with that. Also, what about the SES lights??

I have test pipes on my daily driven Z. Its not a big difference. If you are stopped for awhile u will smell a little bit of gas fumes if you have your windows down; windows up no problem. The only thing is it will increase the loudness of your exhaust. If your exhaust is loud to begin with beware! My Tanabe SCREAMS.

As for gains, very solid and test pipes are cheaper. That alone should make you get em over high flow cats. Performance first my friend, If you can take bullets whizzin by your head you can take a little bit of fumes!

Welcome back soldier!
