i too have the whisp sound just under 3500 rpms when decelerating. its not loose metal shavings or anything of that nature or a bad manufacturers defect of mehan racing......i have the borla TD with kinetix resonated testpipes. the whisp sound was there before & after the testpipes install, the borla was on before the testpipes. appearently it has somthing to do with the head design...same reason the rasp is there. now we need to find a mask for the whisp as the resonators have done for the rasp.......wich bracket are we talking of anyways?

Hm I see... I have the Borla TD and test pipes as well. My whisp and rasp came w/ my helix test pipes.

The bracket in question is the stock one that bolts to the tranny and connects to the stock cats to dampen vibrations.

Hopefully someone w/ this problem can try getting the stock transmission bracket welded onto their cat pipes. This bracket's sole purpose is to absorb such vibrations and it seems that everyone that has this problem got it after installing cats/test pipes w/o the stock bracket (I know that's my situation).

I'll be heading over to a muffler shop when I get a chance. Until then, if anyone wants to try this, please report back w/ your results. I'll do the same.

If you go back and read my post earlier in this thread, you'll see that the first thing I had done was weld eyelets onto the test pipes and reinstalled the stock bracket. It didn't help! See for yourself. Disconnect your exhaust from your test pipes and crank 'er up. You'll still hear the same exact thing. Megan Racing sent me some new ones free of charge but they'll likely do the same thing. It's something (screen?) inside the resonators that is making the noise. I haven't put them on yet though.

Just to add another culprit for the rattling noise...it may be the O2 Sensor itself that has its own components inside.

I have also welded the TPs to the stock bracket and get rattling at about 2200 RPMs. It is really annoying but the wisp is pretty cool.
