Default 05 Track Lower Plenums are Nearly here!

I just wanted to let you all know that the 05 track lower intake plenums are soon to arrive. We had these on order with Nissan for a long time now. They are expected in either the end of this month or the beginning of next month. I know a few of you guys have them on backorder with us already. These will be going pretty quickly. I noticed a gain on mine when I swapped out to mine, and Jason dynoed a pretty decent HP gain. Its true that there is a little loss in the mid-range, but you don't notice it really when you are driving, and the top end from about 5k up really pulls hard up to redline.
check out mynismo.com for these.....

Can you post dyno pics? Also, when they arrive, please post pics of the 04 and 05 side by side.

Thanks!!!

Tony,

I assume the new lower plenum is compatible with the popular plenum spacers you can get, right? i mean are the overall dimensions the same?

also, what is that $50 plenum install kit option on the website? can you not install it without it?

TIA,

HarvesterUT

the optional plenum install kit includes teh gaskets for the lower plenum collector and the upper plenum, which are recomended to be changed, however not necessary. The plenum spacers will work, upper plenums will work, but they don't add any extra power, I've heard some talk about the two plenums not working well together.

there was a long thread about this but here it goes again.......

The lower plenum on the 300hp version 350Z has this new lower plenum, which has a larger volume than the older plenum on the 287 hp motor. Now, this plenum only comes on the 05 track and 35th anniversary Zs with the 300hp motor. This will work on all 350Zs.

so you don't recommend using Crawford V5 with this lower plenum? I already have the Crawford V5, so the gain is about the same? sorry if this has been answer before..

No i don't recomend using a plenum such as crawfords with the new lower plenum. Just keep what you have. The power you gain from doing the crawford vs the new 05 track plenum are different, in that the ways that the power is distributed through the powerband are different.
the new lower plenum loses a little in the midrange, although not really noticeable while driving, but the power in the high rpms are very much improved.
