Default Just got my HFC and Y-Pipe installed, sound clip

Well, today i had my Gruppe-S Y-pipe, UR crank pulley and Kinetix HFCs installed. Got the famous catty rasp. It's not too bad, i don't think.
Here is a sound clip.

is that on a stock exhaust? Cuz if it is it doesn't sound to shabby. I myself prefer loud, I'm planning on doing either a fuji legalis r or jic de type-2 with helix hf cats and gruppes-s y-pipe, and strupp headers. We'll c. But overall it sounds pretty good, kinda like a turbo car back firing.

Sounds good! It's the exact setup I have

One thing I did notice was a weird rattling noise between 3k-4k rpm and only in this range and only driving at WOT.

It could be that my intake noise taking over after 4k, but that rattling stops after 4k rpm.

I wonder if it's the HF cats or is it a leak somewhere in my system? Do you have this same issue with your setup?

Yea, it's the stock system except for that.
I think it's just the air flow through them. I don't hear a leak noise.

I wasn't able to drive mine untill today. OMG!!!! My cat is riding on my heat shield. Sounds like i'm going to fly apart.
I've got to get it back in to get this fixed pronto. This is the worse noise i have ever heard on a vehicle.

The regular rasp seems to settle down once the car warms up. I am not sure if thats just the first few weeks while the cats "cook" or it will stay like that. Mine now rasps some, but once is warm it sounds much better.

I will try to capture a clip.

I have

Tospeed headers - Kinetix HF cats - Japtrix Y and mid pipes - stock muffler.
(Also a JWT and a Kinetix V4 on the intake side)...

Well, the seam on the new cats is facing up. I've heard, now that i think about it, some having problems with the heat shield and having to bend and beat it back.

I've asked this question before. The OEM gaskets made this horrid moaning noise when the car is just starting to warm up, then it would just go away after it was warmed up.

I swapped out the oem ones for the gruppeS ones and the moaning went away. But now I have a leak with the gruppeS gaskets.

I definitely had to bang out my heat shield real good, and i'm sure most do.

I don't have any leak problems or warm up probs with the stock gaskets. I even used the used ones. I did buy new gaskets for the headers to cats.
I still have my Gruppe gaskets laying on the workbench.
