Default New Mufflers question

Hey i wanna make my stock exhaust louder without buying a new one possibly. Im getting a good price on the borla true dual but im thinking since i dont really race and i just want a show looking car (veilside V3 kit and axis wheels coming in very shortly as well as painted dash engine covers etc). I was thinking is it possible to just put two new mufflers on the stock exhaust. Something like the Apexi N1 style or the HKS hi power muffler? this should make it louder than the stock mufflers correct? would the piping need to be bent? i know test pipes would also make it louder but my question is really bout the mufflers. any help would be appreciated. thanks guys.

Well I have the Borla and was about to cut off the single muffler and have 2 HKS carbon Ti mufflers welded insted. But didn't go thru with it.

That would look kick @ss !

haha great minds think alike. lol. thats exactly why i wanna do it. the borla TD muffler looks stock but i think with HKS mufflers it would look nasty and aggressive unlike the single muffler with dual tips.

Default Flowmaster

I replaced my Stock Muffler with a Flowmaster, made for Trans Ams and Camaros, (Transverse Mounted) and put on the stock tips.

Very noticable difference in sound, both at start up, idle, and floored.
$90.00 muffler and $50.00 install. Very worth it. Plus 6 hp increase.
Could not believe it but the dyno showed it.

Make a search for "Flowmaster" and you will find several threads on it, and i think a sound clip file.

I would highly recommend this for someone not caring about brand names and wants a deeper sound.

If I can get a good price on 2 HKS carbon Ti mufflers and my shop can have them welded on my Borla setup, I'm going to do it !
