Default Guys with Injen CAI or any CAI for that matter. . .

Hey you guys with CAI, I just need a little feedback. Well, Ive been thinking about a CAI and Im leaning towards the new Injen intake the power gains seem awesome. Anyway it says that it rids the factory MAF sensor. Will this void the warranty, have you guys been hastled at the Nissan dealers when you went to service your car b/c you had a CAI? And if anyone is using the new/old Injen CAI what was the performance gain like from your POV. Thanks alot guys as usual.

It gets rid of the stock MAF TUBEING, not the actual stock MAF.. If it got rid of the stock MAF the car would not run...
Yes power gains are there, but a CAI is a CAI... just the new Injen CAI is a little better then the rest i think. No you will not be hassled by a dealer with your warranty. They cannot void your warranty unelss they can claim your mod actually messed it up. And only way i can see a CAI messn up your car is if it sucked in water to your engine. Which with the injen CAI only way to do that is to totally submerge the filter. So unless your going deep sea diving in your car you will be fine.

And i do not know why you are worried about them hasseling you with your CAI when you have headers and plenum? They would be more likely to hassle you with that then a CAI..

CAI's are one of the biggest scams in automotive history....if they are of poor design.

I still think my K&N Typhoon is a great design! SR or front mounted scoop!
The new Injen design is a keeper too!
I hear of sooo many rice kids that don't even utilize the MAF sensor!!!!!!

What the heck are you talking about? The car won't run without the MAF sensor. There is no way of removing it without switching to a different ECU that runs off a MAP sensor instead.

Default Thanx guys

Wow thanks as usual, I know the car wouldnt run w/o the MAF sensor, I had a Supra Turbo and I had to get an HKS VPC to bypass the stock MAF sensor. According to Injens description though it gets rid of it, so I was a little curious/confused. I do think the new K & N intake is awesome too, being that its guaranteed 10.1 whp and its a short ram with air guidance duct, excellent design if you ask me. But this new Injen shows a peak of 17 whp which is also excellent. I think Im gonna go with it, Ive used Injen on two occasions, they make excellent intakes and they're fit and finish/quality is unmatched IMO. Oh and BTW, in my description is says "Soon to come: DC Headers and Injen Exhaust" OH and BTW again, Injen is supposed to be bringing out a new 3rd gen True Dual Titanium Tip 350Z exhaust with new H pipe front section, I think Im gonna wait it out and still go with the DC headers and test pipes. Thanks again though.

Even though i completely contradict myself now, iam changing my intake to a short ram, too risky for me to have a CAI with it in the front. Check my new post in the 350z section for more info.

My dealer made note that I had "aftermarket intake" but they haven't given me any issues at all.
