Default $100 too much for Borla TD install?

I'm getting my Borla TD exhaust installed Friday and was quoted $100. The shop is reputable, but the owner didn't ask any question other than what type of car it was going on. Does that sound expensive?

Nope, didn't think too, but I guess they would be able to do it...just figured a performance shop would be more experienced with ensuring no leaks or clearance issues. I gues my peace of mind is worth $40, to make sure it's done right the first time.

It seems fair. I installed mine myself, it's not that hard. It only took a couple of hours.

most shop goes by hourly charge. Seem like they charge you for one hour rate. Not bad. Sound reasonable.

$100 is not a bad deal.. quality of price is important, imo.

the borla is a bit different than other exhausts when it comes to installing. here are numerous pieces that have to be inserted together and then it can be installed. IF...IF they can get the exhaust installed right, meaning no leaks, aligned properly and correctly. Here are some things to check out for after the exhaust install.
1. Make sure that there are no exhaust leaks.
2. Make sure that the exhaust does not or is close to any suspension parts, this caused rattling when i had mine.
3. It is important that you note any problems early. The exhaust tends to rust quickly and then it will be a PITA to fix.

Thanks for the offer, now how much is that coast to coast ticket I'll need to buy you, LOL. I actually just saw Dr. Bonz's Borla thread revived and there are a few posts in there about price paid...both were $90 so I'm in the ballpark.

NVthis350, What's going to rust on a stainless steel exhaust system? I thought that's what the "million mile warranty" was for. Maybe the 16 brackets are not SS? Thanks for the tips all...

$100 works out to about 1.5 hours at most shops - sounds reasonable (they are not in for a fun install)
