Exclamation has anyone seen the new Ultimate Racing Catback?

http://hopupracing.com/ulra2ststduc.html

go here and you'll see it. I think it looks real good, but $1500 is a lot. I'm gonna check a few other places for a better price. I wonder how it sounds? What do you guys think?

LOL - 1. its not new 2. hopup is not a dealer - in fact we are their only US distributor, and I can tell you hopup does not buy from Ultimate and does not buy from us

3. that's WAY over the selling price

here are pics on a customers car (has a twin turbo GT35 kit)

Price wise - $1350 for the exhaust or $1770 with the Ultimate high flow cats

Well Z1, while you're here why don't you give us your take on it (as an enthusiast, not a sales person)? Thanks.

well, anything I say will be taken as a sales guy...but I will have the owner of that car post his thoughts.

From a sheer engineering/build standpoint its awesome...full stainless (flanges too), true dual, 2.5 inch piping, awesome fit and overall finish

loud is a relative term I find...so is "sounds good"

for reference, loud to me is Injen, sounds good is Fujitsubo and Amuse. I am in the camp that thinks the Borla sounds horrendous and that the Injen is too loud.

Given that, the Ultimate is quieter than the Injen, not quite as exotic sounding as Amuse or Fujitsubo

Sounds like a reasonable exhaust, but as such should be priced lower and in the 'reasonable' range...if these ever get to around $1k, let me know.

given that it is a low production unit, and made by hand North America, pricing is unlikely to change

Where's it produced? And the SFR Dual is handmade in the USA as well, but for only $675 or something. Being made in the USA would make me willing to pay a tad more though.

Ultimate Racing is made in Canada, since that's where they are based

if by SFR you mean Speed Force, only thing I see on their site is a dual system with HKS Carbon ti mufflers for $1695.00

They used to sell a dual system with Borla mufflers (and straight tips) for much less $$$, sorry to hear they've only got the angle tipped exhaust w/ HKS mufflers now.

ah I see - well, just so we are comparing apples to apples, this setup uses dual 2.5 inch piping, connects to the factory cats, includes all gaskets and hardware, is fully TIG welded, uses Magnaflow mufflers, and is 100% stainless....flanges too. I can get wall thickness, etc etc details Tuesday

Sounds like a solid exhaust, I wouldn't ask you to trouble yourself about looking for all the details, inless you'd like to turn this thread into a sale pitch for your exhaust, but I do have one question, do you tend to keep this in stock?
