Default Test pipes

Test pipes are nothing more than straight pipes that replace your cats, right? Which also happen to be very illegal in VA I would imagine.

So for a full replacement of the 350 intake/exhaust, you're looking at:

Intake
Plenum?
Headers
Test Pipes/High Flow Cats
Exhaust system

Anybody have pictures of the stock 350 from the underside?

Your right about test pipes. I had HF cats and couldnt stand the rasp. I dont know if intake and plenum fall under full exhaust or not but the rest is right

I've never had a sniffer test in VA, have you?

EDIT: I've got a picture of the undersides, not sure about resizing though, but I'd email it to you if you'd like.

I don't even know what that is. I'm worried about state inspections.

Intake
Plenum?
Headers
Test Pipes/High Flow Cats
Exhaust system

OEM Headers and cats can be replace by long headers.

I know of 3 plenum modifications/replacement:

Replace the upper plenum.
Put a spacer between the upper and lower plenum.
Discard the upper and lower plenum, and replace with an intake manifold.

sniffer test: here in cali, come smog check time, they insert a sensor into your exhaust and measure your emissions.
