Default Labree or Kinetics resonated test pipes???

Both cost around the same right? I know the Kinetics is 369 but I'm not to sure about Labree, you have to call for prices it seems. Which gives the least rasp and has the highest quality? I had cheap $80 megan racing resonated test pipes that cracked at the welds, I dont want to go through that again!

I have the LMS test pipes and they are top notch! They are constructed very well. I'm running the stock exhaust from the y pipe back and I have a little rasp, not much though. It seemed to get better once I had mid pipe redone with a 3 inch inlet. I guess the amount of rasp you have depends on your exhaust setup. I can't speak on behalf of Kinetix since I don't own them.

Labree > kinetix... quality wise.

I have the labree resonated and think they are high quality. LOTs of threads about the kinetix having craking issues.

If I did it all over again, I would probably just get Helix or APS testpipes without resonators. They are cheaper and have basically no rasp on stock exhaust - from the two i have heard in person. The resonators on test pipes are going to be very small and can only do some much in terms of controlling rasp. The main burden falls on your exhaust.

Nice thing about the labree TPs are the fact that they came with an extra o2 bung installed. When I got my wideband, I didn't have to do anything but unscrew the plug and screw in the sensor. Not that removing the test pipe and having one welded in is an issue.

Quality wise, labree is second to none

I have cheap resonated pipes now and the rasp is pretty bad on my Borla TD, I am going to switch to Nismo or Pro-1 soon and want to throw on resonated pipes with it. I had a set of cheap megan racing resonated pipes that cracked at the welds and I deffninatly dont want to go through that again!

LaBree resonated all the way. No rasp, great weld quality, no noticeable restriction. The only thing that I'd trade up to would be 3" test-pipes and exhaust.

If I may be the dissenting voice, I have the Kinetix resonated test pipes with the Borla TD and it sounds great. No problems at all and they have been on the car for over a year. I even had them weld in an extra bung for the wideband.

kinetix is the same price as the labree's so I think it would be smarter to go with the more established pipe.

HockeyZ39-
I don't want to go negative on anybodys favorite company, so ask yourself if you've ever heard ANY complaints about LaBree products?

Does anyone have the ID and OD measurements for the Labree resonated test pipe? Thanks!

I ment the labrees has far more reviews than the kintetix and they are all good, I will be changing out my non-resonated for a set of labrees very soon.

You don't HAVE to put resonated test pipes on. Resonated pipes just help reduce the amount of rasp.

Also, you can get the labree test pipes for about the same price as the kinetix test pipes and I'm sure some vendors will ship you a set to Italy.
