Default Crawford cats+NISMO cat back install question

Have tried this question in another thread but no joy, so here I go with my personal thread: anyone around with this combo? Yes I suppose (andy@performance for instance). Any info and pics would be much appreciated on possible install problems (mating the parts, supports, shims, etc)... I have all the parts ready for installation but I am a bit fearful of what could go wrong! Ciao M

This is a great setup and in my opinion the cats truly compliment the exhaust note of the Nismo exhaust. It is a very straight foward install but just make sure you add about 3 shims per bolt (2) that is on the V brace. The cats will make the piping hang a few CM down causing the mid pipe to hit the V brace during hard acceleration, down shifting, or coming to a stop from the mid pipe shifting around. Other than that, you should be really happy with it.

Get your car on a rack or jack it up, you will see it on the rear end of the under carriage. One youre under the car you cant miss it. It is a huge v brace thats bolted to the chassis in black.

Ok, thanks. Now i can picture it, the big black brace toward the back. What size washers/shims should be used? 3/8, 5/16, 1/2, 3/4?
