Default Question. Those that have installed INJEN CAI, are you happy with it?

I was gungho about buying the INJEN CAI this month but I am now hesitating a bit because I haven't read any rave reviews from people that already have it.

I know there aren't alot of people with it at this time but, if you do have it, what do you think of it?

How's the sound compared to the stock intake?

Do you feel a performance improvement?

Your comments will help me decide whether or not to go for it.

Thanks.
Victor

I just put it on right after my exhaust mods. In the driveway I can hear a whistle, but on the road its hard to hear over the exhaust. Since I did these all pretty much at the same time I cant tell one mod from the other, but on a hard launch it spins them through 1st gear and into 2nd.

2.5" Y pipe
Flowmaster 80
Injen
Grounding kit.

Plan to dyno again soon to see the improvements.

another pic of the intake. I'm sure there will be some comments about the install on 350zfrenzy.com later, as 11 of us met at my house today and did some installs and took video of my car for sound comparisons.

Thanks for the info. I will look for that on 350zfrenzy. I was concerned about how the red connectors and silicone tube would look on a CS car but the pics. I've seen don't look bad (including yours). Does it look OK in person?

Thanks.

I think it looks great! I was concerned about the whistle noise we heard in the garage with it not moving when I revved the engine, because we had a dinan carbon fiber cai on our old bmw and the whine was kind of annoying, but on the road I couldn't hear it at all.

Igualmente (same to you).

I can't wait to hear your feedback. Let me know as soon as possible if you like it so that I can go buy it already like I've been wanting to do.

At worst for you the Injen intake is going to look great on your car because its red.

I liked the way it looked on 2003z's car. I am installing mine on my Le Mans Sunset this week. I wouldn't lose sleep over the color...I just want to go fast....

Thanks for your input. Please let me know what you think of its sound and, also, if you think the performance difference is noticable.

front bumper needs to come off, which entails removing 6 clips at the top of the bumper under the hood, 3 clips and 1 screw on each wheel well. 3 screws on each side of the bumper and about a dozen or so on the bottom trays, all in all, about 10 minutes work. Its very easy to do.

I hope you don't have to take the bumper off, everytime you have to wash it and oil it.

There most be a easier way, right?

Thanks,
