I got everything installed yesterday. The instructions that came with the Plenum were for the SSV. So I was installing everything with out an instruction sheet.

The total install took me about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. This probably would have been quicker if I had all of the tools out that I would have needed before I started. The install was relatively easy so no complaints their.
I have driven about 50 miles since the install here are the things I noticed:

The car feels a lot weaker between 1000 to 1700 rpm. This is only noticed when taking off from a stop light very easy or pulling out of a parking space. though out the lower RPM range. 2000 to 4500 the car felt relatively the same. But in the upper range 4500 and up it did feel stronger. This was most noticeable when catching gears. There was defiantly more power at the top.

The sound that comes from the intake is a more throaty intake sound. I think the plenum makes the car sound much better. The cars new sound is reason enough for me to feel very happy with the plenum. My cars only mods are. Nismo cat-back, stillen intake, Kinetix Plenum.

The Stock strut bar sits on top of 4 spaces which give the plenum the necessary Clarence that it needs. When driving down a windy back road the cars steering didn't feel as tight. It was still pretty responsive but just didn't feel the same. I think I may try a Stiller strut bar to see if that fixes things.

Hmm, I noticed nothing but extra pull with my v4 (mostly up top, but throttle response is improved, so bottom end feels better as well) and didn't need to use spacers on the strut bar. My only other mod is a Pop Charger. Sound is great and the plenum stays very cool. I had the Crawford before on my G, but wanted to keep the stock bar on the Z, so went with Kinetix v4. Glad I did; I love it.

Did I read this correctly? You had to add spacers to the stock strut bar? I thought Kinetix advertises that this new Plenum works with the stock strut bar? I did not read anything about spacers? I am also waiting for pictures of your final install. Z ya!

None of the previous versions required spacers, and I am not using spacers with my v4. If the new v+ requires spacers, it's must have been implemented with this version. Not sure why they would be required given the cutout in the plenum for the strut bar.

I forgot about the installed pic. I'll try and take one tonight when I get home. I will also take a close up of the spacers as well.

From what I understand the V4+ has about 10% more internal volume than the V4. I just asumed they acomplished this buy making th plenum a little bit higher and smothing out the inside.

I just installed my bar this weekend, and since I hadn't driven my car for 2 weeks while I was on vacation, I only noticed gains throughout the RPM. The intake sound is GREAT, takes away from the rasp of my testpipes!

They included strut bar spacers in their kit so that you can still use the factory strut bar. I have not installed it because I haven't had a strut bar ever since I installed my coiulovers a few months ago. Too Lazy

Kinetix supplies strut bar spacers w/ the V+ plenum. 3/16", I think. I installed the plenum and the spacers and the strut bar fit very nicely--no rubbing. The spacers raise the height of the strut bar and thus require getting the bar back to "0" tension (if you want "0" tension). This took a little doing--marking the bar w/ a felt tip to record previous position and dialing the bar in to proper spec. Too little tension=no effect from the bar; TOO much tension and your doors won't close/fit properly.

I didn't know I had to retension the strut bar. I'll try that in a couple days to see if that fixes things. Here are the installed pics.

No, it is very close to hitting but the hood doesn't hit anything.
