opinions on n/a setup...
Here is what my N/A set up will be hopefully by the end of winter.
Pop Charger
Motordyne 1/2' spacer
350Evo TB
Strup/Equal length headers
Tilton Full Street clutch and flywheel
350Evo 3.91 final drive
UR pulleys
Grounding kit
Stillen Test pipes
Gruppe-S Y pipe
Amuse Titanium R1 exhaust
Tomei 268 cams
U-tech w/ dyno tuning
Cusco R2 titanium Coilovers
Odyssey 11.2lb battery
Top Secret Volk TE37's 17's front 18's rear
Pirelli Corsa's (20lbs per tire)
Varis CF duct
Titanium Radiator shroud
Sparco Evo's w/ lightweight brackets
My goal while staying NA is going to be lightweight. these parts see to be what is going to get me where i want to go, granted for the money im putting into i could have a turbo Z and have fun with it till it blows. But hey i like to be different.

Here's my plan :
Short ram intake
Custom exhaust (HKS Hi Power Ti mufflers, X-Pipe)
Magnaflow High Flow cats ( = Kinetix )
Strup Headers
AAM Plenum Spacer
KJR Lightweight Crank Pulley
E-Manage Ultimate (+ dyno tuning)
JWT Clutch
JWT Flywheel
3.9 gears
Taking the rear 8.5 track rims and putting them in the front w/ 255
Taking the front 8 track rims and widening to 10.5 or 11 w/ 295 or 305
That should get me the power I want and the traction I need to handle it. Shooting for high 12's in the 1/4 and as close to 300whp as possible.

Watch th evideo in my in car link....Id be happy to see another Z with bolt-ons trapping 106/107mph havent seen any others. Many @ 104-105 range.
Yeah man, the idea of 115+ traps urged me to do it...

ECU was $600

It depends. Dyno your car and see where your A/F ratio is. Some ecu's seem to compensate for mods A/F wise more than other cars. If your A/F ratio looks ok, I wouldnt spend $600 on the ECU, in my case it provided 9whp and 12ft/lb peak @ the wheels, with gains under the curve, and no loss. You send the ecu to Technosquare and you can take it out of the car and re-install. But again Im not recommending the ECU to everybody, only Z's that need it or guys that want to fine tune. There are many other piggyback options to choose from as well.....it really depends on how your car is handling the current mods, your future plans and your budget.

Yup on the hp/$$
nismo headers cost 1000 cheapest and then installation= not worth it.
The only reason i did it was because i spent 190 shipped and decided to do it my self.
I'm happy they are on. I am making power. I would not do it over again because it took forever.
Every hose clamp was upside down while trying to remove the coolant hard pipes and i spent most of my time trying to figure out how to get them right side up just so i could grab the needle nose pliers and slide the clamp off.
Even if the headers were free it is still not worth paying labor to put them in.
I just got lucky.

Well I have been talking a member on the forum about recieving his non used topspeed headers for 240. Does anyone no if the fact that these are shorty headers make it any easier to install. Is there anyone who has them that installed the headers themselves on this forum? Thanks.
goona need some pics on these.
If the tubes are not equal length than i wouldn't even bother with them because you are taking a chance that the exhaust gasses are coliding with each other at the collector in the header which is exaclty what you're stock ones are doing right now.
I don't think that you're peak HP will rise, but you should get a good fat curve of power on the way to redline.
