Correct, you do need an engine management system such as motec, which adds to the cost.

I had an inquiry today about making up an ITB system for the 350Z and I think the crossram style is a better way to go, lower hood height and more room to put turbo plenums out over the cam covers if boost pressure is wanted in the customers engine build up.

And yes an after market ECU would be needed to use any ITB system on the 350Z engine, which adds to the cost.
