What intakes are carb legal? I know the jwt is, but are any of the others?
Don't wanna give cali cops any more reason for bs tickets

 

My advice is stop searching and get popcharger..
I think almost all intakes in the market are carb legal.

 

JWT Pop Charger on all years
AEM on 2003-2004 (not sure if they got 2005 yet)
INJEN on 2003-2005
K&N Typhoon for sure on 2003-2004 (not sure if they got 2005 yet)


NISMO is NOT
AEM is NOT when you add the Water Diverter
Grouppe M is NOT
ARC is NOT
etc..

 

Are those years for the year of our cars or for the actual calendar year?
And is the injen only for the RD model or for SP too?

 

If you read the manufactures information, sometimes you can find the term carb legal. The intake will come with a sticker. As you mentioned,carb legal is a California thing: I doubt if anyone else cares.

 

alot of states have their emissions standards to match California Emissions...

MA is one of them... When I lived there and brought my car up there from Florida (no emissinos), it had to meet califirnia emissions...


Productinos dates of the cars...

Check to see if your state requires california emissions standards or what...

So, when you go get smogged pulled over or what ever, if they look up the CARB EO number and it is on a 2005-2006, your not going to pass...
