Default POP Charger ?

So I took everyones advice and bought my 06 a new toy. I haven't installed it yet, but my question is this...

They sent me the air cone, bracket, and padded inserts, but is there supposed to be a pipe or extention piece that hooks onto the exsisting piping?

just curious, cause my CAI came with a bunch of crap and wasn't sure when I bought this. I didn't know if there was anything that I forgot to buy with it.

Thanks!

popcharger is a short ram intake, so there is no additional tubing required. just bolt the cone on to your maf.

So who is going to do the write-up for installing the PopCharger? LOL J/K

As said above just hooks right up to the MAF.

That depends on your service manager. I don't see it happening though do to them being basic bolt-ons.

Open filters really come to life on the Z over 4.5k+ RPM with full throttle. If you cant hear any difference then... You need to go see a doctor and get your ears checked, its like night and day!

I have heard a slight wistle noise at higher rpms but for instance as a comparison to my CAI it let off a kinda of a waaaaa noise. You could hear that. I know it is installed correctly, and looks great, but haven't heard much yet. I hear little sounds when it peaks but not that much.

Hmmm, ive never had a popcharger but i used to use a BMC open cone filter (same setup as the pop) and that sounds pretty much the same as my currently K&N Typhoon intake.

The engine volume with full throttle over 5k RPM is ~2-3 times louder then stock with an open filter, so you should CLEARLY hear the diff compared to stock. If you compare with another "open" filter (CAI or short ram) the difference will be small.
