You mean this?
Here's how its done:
1. Cut off a 4" piece off the end of the tube where the filter connects to.
2. Use that 4" piece in place of the tube that goes down into the wheelwell.
3. Connect the filter to that 4" piece.
4. Enjoy the sweet sound of air getting sucked into the intake.
It helps to get a popcharger heat shield.

Yes.....and cheaper too.....But since when did modding your car make sense.
To me it is all about trying out different things to occupy my mind and time =)

I recently made my AEM CAI a short ram (no heat sheild tho). Turned out okay, got better response at the low RPM's. Despite that, I still decided to go with a Stillen intake instead. I'm going to give a try and see if it is better then the short ram and get back to you.

ive got the 5/16 spacer with my nismo CAI and there is alot of people on here that say the spacer and CAI are a bad combo. although i havent felt any loss. i would be curious to see if i noticed anything with the nismo in short RAM form.

Hmmm, that might be why I'm not liking my AEM CAI after I installed my plenum and exhaust.

yeah there are a few good discussions on here about how a CAI creates more air turbulence and that carries up into the plenum causing some loss.

My bigest problem is with my Crawford plenum along with CAI it loses HP up to 10 to be exact + when it rains it is getting wet and when I go past 5k RPM it bogs out until it dries...I want to getthe pop charger but will it fit my AEM?
