Replacing air filter vs. cold air
I am wondering how much more flow I am going to get from going to a cold air intake or just sticking a K&N air filter in the stock air box. I only plan on intake and exhaust for right now since I have factory warranty.

CAI will void warranty...
even the NISMO CAI will because its R-Tune (RACE-TUNE)
...
so keep all of the warranty you need S-Tune parts (Sport-Tune)
So ...
S-tune replacement high flow filter element
S-tune nismo weldina exhaust

the nismo CAI itself isnt warrantied because the filter is a wear and tear component. it WILL NOT void your warranty on your car (unless you do something dramatic like drive it in a lake W/O a water diverter)
ive seen alot of dealers that install them on new cars. my cone filter in mine tore and my dealer replaced it under warranty.

yeah you can use a K&N oil recharge kit on the cone filter.
but those things can go along time with out cleaning. the nismo is basically AEM and K&N makes the filter for them.
it says up to 50k miles but i wouldnt hurt to clean it once a year. ive got about 8K miles on my filter and its still in pretty good shape.

maybe a couple HP. i saw a dyno one time when it gave like a 7 hp bump. but a dyno can be 5 or so off either way so thats kinda inconclusive. i had one when i first got my Z. i couldnt really tell anything. the real advantage of the K&N is you dont have to keep buying the drop ins. you can just clean that one every 50K miles/
