Default APS Tall Boy Plenum. What Strut bars fit?

Guys,

Looking to purchase a APS plenum but would like to know if there are any strut bars that will go over the aps unit and not hit the bonnet or the motor. I know APS have there own but just hunting for alternatives.

No strut bar will go over the APS plenum without hitting the hood. Therefore, any strut bar that goes in front of the plenum, I think, would work.

Before you buy a plenum, consider a plenum spacer. See the results of the plenum vs plenum spacer shoot-out Sport Z magazine here. That said...

no strut brace will fit over the top of the APS plenum. You can choose from several braces that fit in front of the plenum. Any brace designed for a supercharger will work.

Guys, Thanks for the input. The reason I want to buy a plenum or spacer is not for power. Currently as you guys know I'm running the HKS SC and going to rip out the aux injectors and replace with a set of PE 510cc's and retune the FCON. The purchase of the plenum is more of a "safety factor" than a increase in power.

I was looking at the ME 5/16" spacer but to me this did not solve the issue as the plenum was still angled to the front. Then I researched the AAM and found owners had fitment issues hence why I'm looking at the APS.

I didn't realize that you were running a supercharger. For forced-induction, a metal upper plenum is a wise choice.

yeah i think those are the only three srtutbars that will fit (APS, Crawford, Stillen)...

btw, the Motordyne spacers are made of an alloy... why would you not consider one of these spacers for FI?

Okay further investigation reveals I cannot go with the aps unit. The crawford, stillen and aps strut bars will not clear my SC

I don't think there will be enough room between the plenum and the bonnet for a custom made one either.

A spacer it may have to be
