The sound of this exhaust and its ability to reduce or eliminate drone is the main reason I hope this group buy reaches 18+. I currently have the nismo cat back exhaust and can't stand the drone it makes.

It is also not THAT loud - it is just more noticeable because the exhaust note itself is louder.

Loud is fine. Hearing the exhaust (so long as it sounds good) is great. The drone absolutely sucks. If this does not drone then it's the one for me.

Any dyno results with the cat back and HF cats (vice test pipes) on a stock engine?

Yea man - check out the website and all the rest of the data we've been posting.

Sorry to seem weird about this - but we've been boosting this thing for 3 months now.

Why can't we get this group buy going? I signed up after hearing this exhaust because it best retains the stock sound but amplifies it just right when you get on it, and helps eliminate drone that I currently have with the nismo catback exhaust.

I don't get it either man - really

Either nobody cares on MY350Z about spending an extra $400 later when they realize what they missed after the group buy is over, and after they hear and see what a few say about the exhaust, because that makes them feel better, or they actually think we'll drop the price below the group buy price because they aren't buying it now and 'we'll come to our senses'.

The G35 drivers are still signing up every day...I still wonder what they must know that you guys don't - when we designed this system for 350Z from the start....oh I know....they know a good product when they see it and a good deal for it when they see it I guess? Can't be - they got the same info you all did...

I just don't get it...but I know more than 20 G35 drivers, and counting, are getting it!

I want this exhaust but I don't have money. The "no money" part is what's stopping me.

Rick,
You are really pushing your exhaust. Tell me what type of engineering you did on it, and I can confirm if the methodology sounds resonable. After all I work on 100 million dollars engineering projects that take years to develop through analysis and R & D. Checking a flow analsys will not be that hard for me.

Remember folks, the cars now these days are very well designed, and the engineers don't leave much on the table. I personally have an HKS exhaust, which gives 11 hp and 6 ft/lbs of torque. I bought it because I liked the engineering that went behind it.

Just my 2 cents.

OK - I don't have a huge amount of time right now - but let give you some info and we can expand more later if needed...hopefully that's cool for time being.

First of all - this started out as a personal project of my own - not a product to sell to the public. The goal of which was to actually have an exhaust on MY car that did not rice out, trumpet, drone, wake the neighbors - BUT DID, give great HP and TQ, great sound that enhanced the car not redefined it, was effective and consistent throughout the band not just at certain points, looked great to get noticed and yet be different enough to turn heads, and again sound good enough to do that very same thing as well.

The methodology involved research in several ways - I researched the top 'true dual systems' out there and the end users of those systems....for 9 months. I heard feedback of what people liked and disliked about each system, I bought the systems myself and tested them on my own car - as my car was modded as well - so I saw the effect on of the system with and without mods. I then had custom systems made with and without some of those systems parts...we even modded those systems as well.

Finally - I took all of the knowledge I had from my past 22 years of automotive building, and the past 9 months of R&D (now more than 12) and took it to Fast Intentions and we began building and testing what we have today.

Tony and Danny at Fast Intentions have built thousands of systems and specialize is the Z and Audi markets for years, among other high end custom markets, so this was not a big reach for them either in any way...they have the highest integrity when it come to business, service and customer loyalty that I have ever seen in this industry.

I hope that helps answer most of your questions and concerns. Let me know what else I can help with.

Did HKS send you their engineering flow charts for analysis?

You forgot to post a link to your resume so we can determine the validity of your confirmation.

Does one buy brands or solutions? This product may or may not be for you but it sure is appealing. All that R&D and testing the big guys do doesn't necessarily deliver a better product. They also spend millions of $ on marketing that doesn't make your shiny new exhaust sound or perform any better.

Having been involved with motorsports a few decades, I think I have a decent persective on good from bad or even medium. Sometimes the little guy wins and sometimes he looses. It appears that this "little guy" is a winner to me. Cut these guys some slack and at least give them a chance.

The GB looks like a helluva deal to me. The only thing stopping me is money which I do have...just have some big expenses on the horizon that I want to be ready for.

I just might buy though as it is a well designed system. The only thing missing in my opinion is feedback from those who have installed it. How is the fit and finish? What about alignment and quality of the hardware. It is all claimed to be good which I have a tendency to believe (yes I'm honest and I can smell dishonesty pretty easily) because these guys will be out of business soon if they sell a few dozen junk systems. I doubt they are that stupid.

I'm impressed and I'm so tempted.......

I want to set a few things straight -

You can hear from some our our customers on the G35driver threads about this system that has already been installed on their cars:

http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100609

http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91857

Also - if this system on 350Z's don't sell much - it's OK - Fast Intentions isn't going out of business because of it. They are hugely successfully already on their other products.

Rick,

My post was in no way meant to be negative....actually I intended it to be positive. The comment about brands was suggesting that they are just that, brands and offer no particular solution that is superior to your products. I'm impressed with Fast Intentions and wish you nothing but success.

I've been through all the posts on the Intimidator product and didn't see anything on the fit/finish subject. I'm not suggesting that it isn't anything but excellent but just want some confirmation from a user.

If sound alone were my sole criteria, I'd be sold!

There is no need to take a defensive position, although many posts force you into such a spot. Keep up the good work and I know you will be successful. I just might be a customer as I'm very tempted.

Best,
Mark

Hey - it's all cool - I just can't leave something like that out there hanging. People read into material in weird ways - as no voice is behind the written word - so I wanted to make sure that you, as well as other readers, knew that there were some testimonials out there already to look at, as well as people you could PM to get some feedback from.

I also wanted to make sure that everyone knows, as it has come up many times, that Fast Intentions in a new company, with a veteran history behind it's ownership. The company is not trying to make it's mark with this product - it is not being conceived with this exhaust system - it's just expanding.

They have a hugely successful business already with their 300Z, 280Z, Audi and other markets - they are here to stay for a long while, so I wanted to make sure you all know this is not a fly by night company - they mean business, and do it VERY well.

I'm sorry if I seemed defensive - I just wanted to put some facts out there to help with yours and other's research as time is of the essence here for a strategic decision.

With that said - a quick reminder:

1 day left - the group buy ends tomorrow night - the 11th - at midnight!!

Don't forget to consider testpipes - double your gains!!!
