Hey - no problem - we had to do it anyways - we're shipping systems to those who don't want to wait for the Group Buy to be over.

Interesting system, 20 rwhp sounds enticing. You will have to have an independent dyno before alot of people bite though, theres alot of bs on these boards and people are understandably wary.

sorry to take this off topic, but please refund my money Desimale. stop ignoring my PMs and emails. don't anyone do business with this guy. he rips forum members off and doesn't send parts he lists for sale.

again sorry for soiling this thread with private disputes, but this guy isn't replying to any of my PMs or emails.

Quite honestly, your the 2nd person who has mentioned a independent dyno being any issue with this system at all from the many on both boards, and the many many calls we have tendered about this system so far. We've been forthright and honest and kept every word about this system since day one. There are testimonials from several of our test users on both boards, and the G35Driver board in hugely active.

With the questions asked on the boards as well about this, having only really 2 people make an independent dyno be a REAL issue to make a decision, I'm not too sure that's the reason for the holding back.

The action and involvement on the G35Driver side is much different, and we don't know why, but it is, and this product was designed first for the 350Z.

Any input form you all be appreciated. These threads started out with lots of excitement....we're wondering where it is.

Feedback please.

What is size is the Inner Diameter of this exhaust and do you have any idea of how free flowing it is regarding backpressure???

Default Group Buy Info - Clarification

It's come to our attention that some of you may be confused with how this has been setup and I want to make sure you all understand the quantities and discount structure for the Group Buy.

For the 18+ etc. quantities, it does not take 18+ of each style to be signed up for to qualify for the discount, it only take a total of 18 sign ups.

The same goes for the 9+ etc.

I hope nobody thought that it was going to take 54 sign ups to get the best discount rates

You have a couple factors working against you that are going to be very tough to overcome.

1. There are so many exhausts available for the Z right now. There are at least 40 aftermarket exhausts on the available for the Z.

2. You're an unknown company selling an exhaust for the same price, or more, than some of the big hitters like HKS, Stillen, and APS. The Stillen expecially has a rep for being one of the top horsepower producers and its cheaper than your system. HKS is looked to as one of the best in the world, and their system is priced close to your polished system. APS too.

3. People are very weary of dyno claims, no matter how much you back them up.

4. When it comes to naturally aspirated Z's, a lot of other factors come into play besides horsepower. Light weight, prestige of manufacturers name, PRICE (this is expecially true when most people feels all the exhausts give you about the same 5 hp).

I think you guys make a nice product and wish you much sucess, its just a packed market and people are not lining up to spend $1400 on an exhaust.

OK - some very valid points below - some clarifications needed as well for some over embellishments.

So - being a thread where we can and should discuss these things - lets do it.

1 - there may be 40 some-odd options for exhaust out there - but not all of them are true dual exhaust systems. Roughly 1/4 of them are. So lets keep things in perspective and at least compare apples to apples.

2 - Fast Intentions itself may be a new company but it's definitely not unknown and definitely not unpracticed. If your familiar with the Specialty Z website and their line of exhaust products - these are the guys who have built them for years. We're talking about thousands of products and systems with a 99% satisfaction rate. Nothing but the best quality, hands down in a tested, tried and true market.

HKS, Stillen and APS, among others, make great products - and they all have their pro's and cons to them. Not every system is for everybody, we of course understand that. We also have done our homework and research as well, on several boards, including this one. There are lots of cons to these great systems and many things people want that just aren't out there that out system does...which is what makes it attractive as well.

It doesn't drone, it enhances the cars natural sounds and does not, for a lack or a better term, rice it out, it does not change over time and keeps it integrity of sound as well. Stillen and others have always received complaints of massive droning, the needs for adding or augmenting of the system for rattles, squeaks, cheap mufflers and parts, etc. This system is superior quality. This system is all hand made - not parted out to China for mass production - no mistakes - high integrity of build quality only.

3 - I've stated it before myself - I'm weary of dyno claims myself. We invite someone to to go ahead and do the independent dyno. We've done our testing and our own - I know you don't want to trust that - well, then step up and see for yourself - you wont be sorry!

4 - The weight of the system is exactly where a dual system should be. The manufacturer of the parts, Sebring Tuning, is a leader in the industry, the price - $400 off on the Group Buy - what more could you honestly ask for?

We think and know we have a great product here as well. We want as many of you to have the opportunity to enjoy it as well.

We just hope you take the opportunity to save the money during this Group Buy.

If you have any questions...or comments or further discussion - PLEASE don't be shy...

Rick

OK - Keep in mind that this is not metric tubing - it is standard 2 1/2" piping. The aluminized pipe ID is 2.32" (14 gauge) and the stainless is 2.40" (16 gauge).

As far as how free flowing the system is regarding backpressure...well, a pretty hard question to answer, depending on the answer your looking for.

Compared to stock - it flows much better - hence more sound and more HP and more TQ. The car does not gains in all areas and does not drop anywhere - so if no loss, then backpressure is seemingly appropriate and balanced as it should be. In some of our early tests, we did see drops and spikes and other non-desirable effects...and those were obviously templates that were thrown out.

The system does not rasp, and that will tell you that there is backpressure and that the system recovers appropriately as well.

I hope that answers your question...if not, let me know what your looking for otherwise.

Anyone who knows anything about making HP with a exhaust understands that you need a certain amount of back pressure unless you have FI.
Rick, you should have taken your car to the Stillen open house and done a dyno run for all to see and hear. I live in Anaheim Hills so if we could get together some weekend I would like to hear your car. I am in the market for a exhaust system.

Based on your location, you might want to get together with deviljon..he was the test car...PM him.

I have extensive mods on my car and don't like to dyno publicly. Also, my car is not a fair listen because of the mods - it also has headers. Not that it isn't a fun drive and good listen though

Rick,

Your car still has no drone (with fast intentions exhaust) even with the headers?

I know there are alot of sceptics, I have been following this exhaust since it was first mentioned, but I went ahead and did it. I bought the exhaust at full price. I will make a full write up and review of this exhaust when it comes in with pics and clips. I have a friend that can hook up some dynos but I will just be able to see how it compares to my borla. This will be my 4th aftermarket exhaust so I can also tell you how it stacks up to them all. I will link everyone when I get it all put together.
