H pipe in APS exhaust? yay or nay
For anyone whos heard the APS exhaust, its got a very unique note, and its on no other exhaust. Its a nice sound, but its getting very boomy, especially since I have test pipes on.. I spoke to a exhaust specialist (who happens to be a material science engineer) and he suggested H pipe or X pipe, with the later being more effective in producing a clean engine sound. i did some more reasearch and I can see why, a simple balancing of air...and the alll so common "make it sound like a V6 and not 2 3 cylinder engines". So hows everyones opinoin on it? Also, poeople who've done it already, please let me know
I wouldn't go through the trouble of installing an X-pipe. Just add an H-pipe and the sound will improve on your N/A setup. An X pipe will be a much more involved process than an H pipe.
A better suggestion would be to install a TT kit and use the exhaust with the setup it was designed for

i know how much it should cost. It should cost around 250 ish. Thats why i walked out.. 400-600 depending on how much time it takes. Screw them. I'm getting a different setup soon.
burns wants $400 for the same design we build, and $600 for the same exact custom parallel end X pipe we build. it is not as easy as one might think. i would think even to get it done by an exhaust shop would be atleast $300 by the time they were done and prolly filling 1/4" weld gaps. we set for 0 gap to create really strong welds.
