One week or when we are sold out. Which ever occurs first.

From the looks of all the posting activity with regard to people ordering the MREV 2, I don't think your available stock will last the week.

Knowing it's while supplies last, I went ahead and pulled the trigger, I can't let this pass me by, the skeptics can pay full price if they want.

Trigger pulled. This kind of power for less than $200 is impossible to pass up.

$100 rebate if you get a dyno with a plenum spacer or plenum.

Yes, there was a price increase on all the spacers because of a recent product improvement.

The spacers themselves are now Iso Thermal too.

The previous design used a modified stock Nissan metal gasket to do the sealing, but the new generation of plenum spacers now use Iso Thermal gaskets applied directly to the spacer.
The new gaskets cost more and must be carefully applied by hand. It takes time to put them on. But overall, it make a much better quality product.

The new gasket now conforms exactly to the spacer shape. It is thicker, softer and more compliant than the thin metal gaskets Nissan used. So they have a better sealing capasity.

The new Iso Thermal gaskets are also much more resistant to heat transfer because they have a much lower thermal conductivity.

They also make installation much easier than before because you don't need to perfetly align the metal gasket on top of the spacer when you are trying to put the bolts through it. For those of you who installed them before know what I am saying. Upper plenum, gasket, spacer, lower gasket, lower plenum. It would get tricky keeping it all aligned sometimes.

Sometimes, if the metal gasket wasn't perfectly aligned, the metal gasket would get kinked, bent, or a peice of it would get folded over. And this could cause leaks.

With the new gaskets applied directly to the spacer it makes installation much easier. Just open the plenum like a clam shell, slide in the spacer and bolt it all back down.

Its much easier now and has many functional improvements for the end user.

It wasn't just a price increase... It was (is) a real product improvement.

The same with the change of MREV+ to MREV-2

The MREV-2 has more machining done to it for additional airflow and a good part of the whole process must be done by hand for conturing a good radius at the runner inlets.
MREV-2 also no longer (automatically) comes with a plenum spacer because some people want just the lower collecor and not the spacer. Not being tied to a plenum spacer give more people more flexibility as to how they want to set it up.

There is a sale going on!

when you add to cart, enter the discount code "hydrazine". You pay $344, but you also get to turn in your used lower collector (assuming its a 287 collector) for a $222 rebate.

So your final price is $122.

This is true for a limited number and it must be for certaint applications that havn't already been dynod.

REVUPS, Cast Plenums, and FI are all good to go.

Contact me with your test proposal first!

Tony, OT.

How to tell if it's the newer Iso Thermal Spacers from the old one?

also, about the rebate, what do you mean by cast plenum?

Not the stock one but whose?

The 5/16" spacer now comes with iso thermal gaskets applied to both sides of the spacer. The previous revision simply used a Nissan metal gasket.
Cast plenum as in Crawford or APS.

Hi Tony,

So the 5/16 spacer which sells for $260 is also isotherm, or does it just come with regular gaskets? Or do we need to pay $290 for the one with isotherm?

Thanks,
Baron

Ohhhh jeeeebus!

All this yabbba, dabba dooo post about this and that is really confusing for Non techies.

Can someone please tell me what is being discussed and what is being recommended to buy?

So, is it being suggested that none RevUp motor drivers purchase the 5/16” Basic Plenum Spacer & the MREV 2 ?
I have the 2004 6MT.

Tony,

I truly admire your due diligence in attempting to improve an already excellent product. Let me clarify this for the others whom may be getting this new set-up for the first time.

Prior to installing the original MREV+ (modified non RevUp lower collector) and the original ISO Thermal Plenum Spacer Kit (Aramid gasket, plenum spacer and the Coolant Control Valve), I remember working around at or near the upper collector was not a desirable task. This was due to the upper collector being so damn hot . . . Ouch! I remember at a local GroundingGear wire install meet, we all waited for our cars to cool down for a time, because of the high temps of our plenums. Hehehe . . . No one wanted to scorch their hands, including myself.

Now, immediately after having installed the above MREV+ kit, as mentioned above, I noticed (as well as many others whom had posted the same) that after many driven miles, I could actually place my hand (palm down) completely on top of the upper collector with no discomfort whatsoever.

So, in my mine, if you have now applied the same Aramid gasket material to both sides of the plenum spacer . . . I would have to think that even less heat is transferred from the engine to its upper plenum assembly . . .Thus even lowering the plenum temps even more.

It's this sort of progressive thinking is the sort of thing that will set Motordyne a knotch above the rest of the field. Bravo, Tony . . . Keep up the excellent work.
